I work in the camera and surveillance field.The instructions read to download the phone app. launched the phone app and selected the option to scan my network for new devices. It found it quickly and It s on and viewable. WOW I have never seen such an easy install. This system given me 1080p quality with motion detection and excellent night time picture with attached screen and 4 TB storage at a price I liked. Great buy
