Customer reviewsHeavy, durable, "commercial grade" bookshelf
Solid and heavy, this is what I'd consider a "commercial grade" bookshelf. All parts--including the back panels--are about an inch thick which, though made from laminate materials, are very sturdy and rigid. It's not heirloom quality but the bookshelf will last a very long time. Aside from the weight, the biggest downside to this bookshelf is that only three of the shelves can be repositioned. Two of the five not including top and bottom structural and cannot be moved. There are peg holes to the top and bottom of these structural shelves to make it appears as though they could be repositioned so someone thought of that little aesthetic detail. I'm not sure if that's comforting or troubling, but it is what it is. The instructions are very simplistic. They show what hardware goes into which holes but that's about it. You'll have to use a little bit of deduction to put it together. It's not complicated but the instructions don't walk you through assembly either. In any case, I'm very pleased with the bookshelf. It will probably last a lifetime.
